2021-2022 Management of Biosphere Reserves and other designated areas


Description
The course is the virtual part of the Asterousia Hybrid University on Management of Biosphere Reserves and other designated areas. Its first phase (live one) was held on 19-24 October 2021 in Asterousia Biosphere Reserve in Crete (Greece) with a restricted number of trainees so as to prepare several parts of this online course.

This self-paced 4-week-long course (10 January - 6 February 2022) aims to gather competent individuals involved in the management of Biosphere Reserves or other designated areas and offer them a co-learning space in which experiences, lessons-learned and innovative practices can be exchanged for the benefit of all.

The course in a nutshell:
- When: 10 January to 6 February 2022
- Commitment: approx. 20 hours (~5 hours/week)
- For whom: Post graduate students, young scientists, MAB youth groups, educators and managers. Priority is given to applicants from European and Mediterranean countries
- Size: up to 100 learners
- Language: English
- Certification: at least 80% test score and completion of assignments required

  • All units must be completed
